Cool School Tools

RRK Cool School Tools #1 PhotoAs an integral part of our classroom programs, each child receives “Cool School Tools!” — Right Road Talent Binders and/or school and art supply kits that are invaluable resources for inspiring kids to learn and create! The children get to keep their special gifts; just one way the Right Road inspiration and creative and learning opportunities continue long after the actual Right Road sessions!

THIS RIGHT ROAD KIDS!™ PROGRAM IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO TEACHER/SCHOOLS WHOSE CLASSES WE HAVE WORKED WITH OR ARE SCHEDULED TO WORK WITH.

Project Backpack

RRK Project BP #1 PhotoAfter hearing from numerous teachers over the years that far too many children begin each school year without backpacks and basic supplies, we started “Project Backpack!” At the beginning of each school year, we provide new school supply-stuffed backpacks for children in need throughout Ventura and Los Angeles Counties in California to help them start the year off right, on the road to educational success!

Original Books, Music, and Programs

Paula’s gift for helping and inspiring kids is boundless! In addition to her work with kids at schools and youth organizations, tens of thousands of children have been inspired to believe in themselves and reach for their dreams through her uplifting original music, books — and now DVDs — which are also fundamental Right Road program resources. Now Paula’s resources are finally available to kids, schools, and families everywhere in our Right Road Store, right here on our website! Visit the Right Road store now!

Positive Opportunity Funding Awards

RRK POFA #1 PhotoIn response to ever-increasing school budget cuts, our Positive Opportunity Funding Awards (POFAs) provide added classroom support and countless youth opportunities and resources that otherwise would not be available to far too many children. Teachers whose classes we work with fill out a simple request form and we do whatever possible to provide the funding and/or resources to fulfill the requests that will boost kids’ esteem, character development, and enrichment! POFA Grant Awards run the gamut — PE equipment, musical instruments, learning materials, incentive/reward prize boxes, field trip funds, student dictionaries, and art supplies are just a few of the nearly 500 POFAs we have awarded over the years!

Fun Packs

RRK Fun Pack PhotoStarted on a hunch Paula had over 15 years ago while working with a public middle school in Fresno, our Fun Pack program is a mainstay of our follow-up support. By completing and mailing in a simple Right Road Fun Page based on what they learned in Paula’s sessions, kids can get an extra self-esteem boost by receiving a *free* Right Road Fun Pack in the mail! Years later, kids often share with us that they still have their poster or stickers or note of encouragement from Paula that helped them remember their specialness.

Field Trips

RRK Field Trip PhotoHelping kids experience the world is a big part of helping them learn to dream. With rampant school budget cuts, an alarming number of schools are not able to afford basic field trip opportunities for their students. We always do what we can to help. For example, this school year, in partnership with the Air Force One Discovery Center at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library, over 30 Right Road 5th and 6th grade classes will be able to take part in their once-in-a-lifetime field trip experience!

College Prep & Support

RRK College Support PhotoA Right Road mantra for kids is “Go To College!” We have always supported this with college scholarships. Plus, we have recently added a whole new element: teaching kids to SAVE for college and their futures and actually helping them start college savings accounts. In addition, Paula even personally attends as many Right Road Kids’ elementary, middle, high school, and college graduations as she is possibly able to!

Kids Helping Kids & Change Your World Projects

RRK Kids Helping #3 PhotoOne of our goals is to encourage children to use their talents to help others and be a part of making the world a great place! As an example, a couple of years ago, something special began at San Cayetano School in Fillmore, California. Paula has worked with this public school for over a dozen years, and in 2008, with the support of the principal and entire staff, she challenged every person in the school to do something new, something more to make a difference and change the world! The results were amazing! Children and teachers alike from this growing rural community helped the elderly, ill, and those who were hungry. They recycled to save the earth. They gave music CDs and sent Valentines to brighten lives that were lonely. And that was just the start! This special Right Road program is a highlight for the school every year now, and with the help of many Right Road volunteers, it culminates with an awesome Right Road Service Celebration Day complete with school carnival and fun for all every spring!

Outreach Programs

Programs---OUTREACHFrom holiday gift giveaways to book drives. From to coordinating winter coat drives to school supply collections for schools devastated by storms. From painting school playgrounds to filling school libraries, we’ll do whatever we can whenever we can to help kids in need find and travel the Right Road in school and in life. Such Right Road outreach projects also help teach children first-hand about the importance of living their lives in Right Road Kindness and how much it means to others and to the world to be a giving, caring, compassionate person.
